Kettle Valley Steam Railway
Take a guided historical tour along an original section of the old railway. Pulled by a 1924 steam engine, the train chugs along hillsides overlooking Okanagan orchards and vineyards. Special events include train robberies, barbecues, jazz and blues cruises and a barn dance (extra cost). Trains leave at 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.; arrive early. Tickets (incl. GST), $8.50-$12; family and group rates available. Open mid-May to Jun. 30, Sat.-Mon.; Jul.-Labour Day, Thu.-Mon.; Labour Day-Thanksgiving, Sat.-Mon. Follow the green and gold signs to Prairie Valley Station.
